  • 1/2 Cup fresh cream
  • 1/4 Cup cashew paste
  • 1/4 Cup melon seed paste
  • 1 Tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 Tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 Tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 Cup butter
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a Large Bowl, combine grated paneer, mashed potatoes, mixed nuts, raisins, garam masala, and salt.
  2. Mix well and form small, round koftas. Roll each kofta in bread crumbs for a crispy texture.
  3. Heat oil in a Pan and fry the koftas until golden brown. Set aside.
  4. In a separate Pan, heat butter and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until golden brown.
  5. Add tomato puree, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the oil separates.
  6. Stir in cashew paste and melon seed paste. Cook for a few more minutes.
  7. Add fresh cream and salt, and simmer until the gravy reaches a creamy consistency.
  8. Just before serving, gently place the fried koftas in the simmering gravy.
  9. Allow the koftas to absorb the flavors of the creamy gravy for a few minutes.
  10. Transfer the Malai Kofta to a serving dish, and garnish with a drizzle of fresh cream and chopped coriander leaves.
  11. Serve hot with naan, rice, or your favorite Indian bread.
